Matt graduated from The University of Missouri, Columbia in 1992 with a degree in Consumer and Family Economics. While working in the Financial Services industry, Matt obtained a graduate degree in Financial Services from The Graduate School of Financial Services in cooperation with Louisiana State University. Matt has been active in the community while serving as an officer of the Malden's Lions Club and Chamber of Commerce. Matt's favorite community project is his office's Annual Christmas Toy Drive. Coaching and sponsoring youth sports has also been a constant during Matt's professional career.

Matt has been a State Farm agent for over 24 years. During that time, Matt has continued his education in the insurance and financial services sector.
